Although our pots are frost resistant, we have a few recommendations for the winter:
Ideally, shelter your pots or cover them with frost cloth available at hardware stores. Do not plant directly into the pot, use a plastic pot also available at hardware stores.
For the taller pots, use an upturned plastic pot to elevate your plant and place a plastic pot on top with the plant inside.
A water repellent has been applied, which should last 3 to 4 years. The French Potter stocks this in 2.5L containers available for sale.
The pots need to be elevated from any points of humidity. Place your pots on the likes of concrete blocks or bricks to prevent them absorbing moisture from the earth.
Our pots are designed to be functioning horticultural pots with the added advantage of being a work of art. If you follow the above instructions, they will reward you with beauty for the generations ahead.
